yesterday i saw Vampire Weekend at Barrowlands, up here in Glasgow.
I though to myself that the venue, in my opinion, is bigger than the act.
They should have played a smaller venue.
and Barrowlands only hold 1900 people!

So where should Mr Vek play?
Big venues or Small venues?

I saw him in a tiny venue in Southampton and it has, to this day, been one of my favourite gigs.
Having said that. I also saw him at a festival or two and he worked really well there.

I'd have to say that I think TV can fill almost any size venue. He seems to adapt his essence to fill the void. If any of that makes sense and doesn't sound ridiculous.

At the moment it would be nice to see him play ANYWHERE but small seems to suit him nicely. I saw him play the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham and it was electric!

Yes, saw him play 2 shows in Ireland. One at a festival in a big tent. There was not many there from what I remember but he was brilliant. Then I saw him play Whelans in Dublin which is definitely in my top 5 gigs of all time. I have fond memories of Music Television live. Apocalyptic rave!

Glad his live shows were so memorable as I am loosing hope that I will ever get to see him play again! Awell. I rarely log in here now as it's seemingly dead and fans seems to have abandoned this. Was there any updates given?

We got some half-news that he had moved house and was having trouble sorting things out with his current label. And also that he was definately working on new material. That was a while ago though. Who knows. A little part of me still believes he will return with one of the greatest albums of all time, but that part is slowly dying out year by year.
